The following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) apply to the Muslim Travelers’ Guide Read & Win Spring 2024 Contest (the “Contest”) organized by or on behalf of Japan National Tourism Organization (Kuala Lumpur Office) (the “Organizer”) conducted through the Muslim Travelers’ Guide website. By submitting a Contest Entry (as hereinafter defined in the Contest Details below) to the Contest, each Participant (as hereinafter defined) agrees and acknowledges that they have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions. The Organizer reserves the right to make any amendments, additions, replacements and modifications to the Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice.

Eligible participants The Contest is open to all participants of at least 18 years of age, who are citizens or permanent residents with local residential addresses in Malaysia. (a “Participant”)

Details of prizes

Prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable, non-exchangeable for cash, credit, goods or benefits-in-kind, and non-extendable in validity. There shall be no refund, transfer, exchange or extension for any partially used or unused Prize. The Organizer reserves the right to replace or change prizes with items of similar value without prior notice.
Method of entry To enter the Contest, participants should:
  1. Read this article and answer two questions using the web form provided.
    • What is the largest city in the Tohoku region with the perfect cherry blossom viewing spots?
    • Why would you want to experience spring in Japan?
  2. Submit their full name, age, gender, e-mail address, contact number and residential area for winners’ verification and contact purposes.
Maximum number of entries Participants may submit only one entry each.
Prize winner selection This is a game of skill and creativity. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged, based on the accuracy of the answer to Contest Question One and the creativity of the answer to Contest Question Two. All entries must be an independent creation by the Participant and free of any claims that they infringe any third-party rights. Prizes will be awarded to the best entry as judged by the Organizers of the Contest. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any Participant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the judges, includes objectionable content or does not meet the criteria relating to the method of entry. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Notification of winner The winner will be notified via email and/or contact number within a week after the end of the contest period.
Prize winner notification and unclaimed prize If a prize winner does not respond and claim the prize within seven (7) days from the date of the prize-winning notification, the prize winner shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize and the organizer reserves the right to select and notify an alternative prize winner, forfeit the prize or donate the prize to charity. Any prize winner whose prize has been unclaimed/unredeemed or forfeited hereunder shall not be entitled to any payment or compensation.
