The weather according to the season

SPRING (March-May)

Beautiful cherry blossoms bloom throughout Japan from the end of March through early April.

SUMMER (June-August)

July and August form the true leisure season in Japan. Throughout the country, there are countless festivals and events.

AUTUMN (September-November)

Autumn is a very comfortable season in Japan, with cool temperatures and little humidity. The trees covering the mountains are ablaze with beautiful colours.

WINTER (December-February)

In central and northern Japan, the ground is often covered in snow for much of the winter.

Currency

The currency of Japan is the yen. RM1=approx. ○yen (as of December ○, 2014)

ATMs

ATM’s are located in post offices, Japan Post Bank offices, etc. You can withdraw cash using credit cards issued by overseas financial institutions.

Time Difference

The time difference between Japan and Malaysia is just one hour. If it is 9:00 a.m. in Malaysia, it is 10:00 a.m. in Japan.

Voltage and Power Plugs

Japanese power outlets are two-pin, A-type with a voltage of 100V. Please note that a power plug adaptor (or transformer) is needed to use electrical devices brought from Malaysia.
